How we handle data when you use PaperTrend.
Public pages and no account
PaperTrend’s pages (papers, topics, authors, transitions) are public and read-only. We do not require you to sign up or log in. We do not collect personal data (name, email, etc.) for simply viewing the site.
Server logs and technical data
When you request a page, our servers may log technical information such as request path, HTTP method, response status, and a request ID for debugging. These logs are used for operation and troubleshooting and are not used to profile or identify individual visitors. Logs may be retained for a limited period according to our hosting provider’s policies.
Third-party services
If we add third-party services (e.g. analytics or advertising), their privacy policies will apply to data they collect. We will describe such services on this page when they are in use.
Data we display
The citation and paper data shown on PaperTrend comes from external external academic sources. We do not control how those sources collect or publish data; our use is limited to displaying aggregated, attributed information for research discovery.
